Sakis Stritsidis was born in Thessaloniki, where he left his University studies in another field to study Graphic Design. Since 1999 he’s been living and working in Athens, where he founded his own design studio (Front, 2004).
He specializes in cultural projects, designing posters, theatre programs, book covers, art exhibition catalogues, books, logos and visual identities. He has worked for the Closing Ceremony of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, the National Theatre of Greece, Athens Biennale (Monodrome, 2011 & Agora, 2013) Deste Foundation, Athens International Film Festival, Stegi (Onassis Cultural Centre), Notos Theatre Company (Amore Theatre), Poreia Theatre, Porta Theatre, Oxy Publishing, Futura Books, Martis Books, AICA Hellas, Médecins Sans Frontières Greece, ActionAid Hellas etc.
His work has been awarded several times at the Greek Graphic Design & Illustration Awards (EVGE). He is the first designer who has been honored with all the awards in a category (Book Cover Design, 2004). He has given lectures on his work, participated in talks and exhibitions and has been member of the Jury at Greek Graphic Design & Illustration Awards (2007).
